I started what will likely be a series of interesting trips this month, after finally sorting out all the chaos in Salalah. First stop--Italy.
I’m here in the north, near Bologna in Emilia-Romagna, and wound up ensconced in a utterly delightful and completely adorable Podere del Germano Reale near Rimini. It means the Royal Duck Farm.

They make their own olive oil and marmalade.
Let’s just say that I need to highly recommend this place, and likely won’t have a chance to write about it later.

Spring has just raised the barest breath, and the peach trees are in flower. Violets and Narcissus are up and it's cold, but not hellish. My apartment is rustic and charming, with every detail. They even left an essential oil diffuser with fresh tealights! And matches next to it. There’s a fireplace, and pine trees outside, Wooden beamed ceiling, hand knitted afghan as an extra blanket, stuff like that. So much attention to detail.
Here’s a few pictures of the garden, I’m leaving and have to move along.
God, I’m so seduced by location.......
